Born in Moldova. Raised in Brooklyn. Dedicated to helping every client feel beautiful.
Flora’s craft began at sixteen, in beauty school, with an eye for detail that would define a lifetime of work. She trained in a Brooklyn wig atelier, then spent nearly two decades with a worldwide hair manufacturer, learning every secret of selecting, constructing, and styling fine European hair.
In 2005, she launched Design by Flora, a studio built on a single belief: the right wig is never a disguise, but a homecoming. Today, from her Teaneck showroom, Flora serves thousands of clients around the world, each welcomed by appointment and met with the same care.

01Do you have wigs available to purchase today?
Yes. The Teaneck showroom carries a large in-stock selection of wigs, Illusion Falls, and toppers. Availability changes, so call ahead if you have a particular style in mind.
02If I purchase a wig, can you cut and style it?
Yes. The first cut and style is included with a Design by Flora wig purchase. Chemical services are separate.
03How often should I wash a wig?
With regular use, wash your wig about once a month or after approximately 20 full days of wear. Your routine may vary based on styling products, weather, and activity.
04Where does the hair come from?
Design by Flora sources its hair from Eastern Europe.
